Proposal to build on the success of the regeneration of the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool by creating a new low traffic neighbourhood. Creating new cycle and pedestrian links into the city and onto the proposed re-opened St.James Street station. closing minor roads to through traffic and allowing the pedestrianisation of the popular Jamaica street, expanding on the growing outdoor festival and social calendar, enticing more local and regional start-ups and creative businesses to the area and enhancing the areas reputation as the cities creative quarter.
Focusing on one key landmark site at a gateway into the quarter, the scheme proposes a creative industries hub with workshops, studios and performance space for the creative industries. Offering state of the art facilities aimed at launching the Baltic Triangle into a nationally and internationally recognisable area for the creative arts.
