The re-modelling and refurbishment of an existing much-loved but under-utilised rear extension to a Victorian terrace property. 

The aim was to simplify a congested floor plan to provide a modern kitchen, dining and entertaining space. Introducing a new portrait window, folding doors and an oriel window seat, reconnected the space with the garden.

Removal of the existing ceiling created an airy, vaulted space with rooflights and careful external detailing such as arched brick lintels to openings respects and preserves the buildings Victorian character.

The original Victorian walls were in need of an upgrade, with the installation of internal insulation and improved air-tightness. Helping to en-sure the space stays warm in winter and lasts another 150 years.
